I know it comes from Kane Cornes but I thought he made a valid point that 4 years is a long time for a player that can't get a game for the club he is currently at. Freo must be very confident in Clark's abilities.

Tucker was squeezed out of the middle this season. He wasn’t very good playing off half back, and we’ve got coverage there anyway. If the people at the club think O’Driscoll or Valente can play then it’s a waste to keep Tucker playing on the periphery.

He’s a better player than Clark, and it would be a shame to have not got the best out of Tucker knowing Geelong probably will, but I’d do a straight swap rather than give up a pick.

At 24 years old I would much rather keep Tucker and try and do a deal for Clark. If Geelong don't come to the party then get him when he is uncontracted at the end of next season. Play the long game.

A swap like this has me worried because it's the kind of crazy thing Freo would fall for. Tucker was disappointing this year and looked slow. But he has also played plenty of decent games, is still only 24, and is yet to find his ideal position. Definitely worth persisting with and a better player than Clark, and a much better player than Valente or O'driscoll.
