7 meters... that's Sandi's wing span.

Tend to agree with WTB that Clark has to be on a wing. With Pearce in the CHB spot, we have Fredericks, Chapman and Young all raring to perform across half back. Fredericks is as fast as, or faster than Clark, Young is getting better and better (and bigger and bigger), and Chapman is smooth, confident and so gutsy.
Pretty impressive half back line, in fact.

If we want Clark to play off the backline it allows us to move Young or Walker to a wing, with Frederick on the other wing.

Re some previous posts : My memory of Fredrick was that he was played as a half forward??

As for half backs, don’t forget Brandon Walker, he was a big addition last year. As suggested above, perhaps Young into the midfield (which would be an exciting experiment) opens up a spot for Clark across HB.
We will have inevitable injuries that create opportunities, however, our backline is now overpopulated. Surely we will target forwards in the draft (even if they will take some time to mature).

I would like to think that Young is going to be the next David Mundy.
Clark starts on the wing but plays back in defense if required. Fredrick starts on the wing and plays forward if required.
Cox plays back or forward depending on the fitness of Hamling and/or Pearce.
My guess is that pick 6 will be used for the best available forward and pick 8 for the best available midfielder.
Fascinating to see what happens to pick 19.

Noddy, you're so excited that you just can't hide it. I think you're about to lose control and I really like it.

pick 22 and late swaps was obviously going to be the trade. they'd have agreed to it by the weekend and also agreed to make it go through in last hour so it looked like they twisted each others arm right up to the death.

Can someone tell me which traded-in recruit in the last 10 years has actually contributed something?

Let me have a go (and I am trying to be positive) -

Hamling - injured for last 2 seasons
Lobb - not yet
Wilson - promise but inconsistent
Acres - nope
Aish - hopefully
Conca - nothing special
Hogan, Matera, McCarthy - no, no, no
B. Hill - almost, but buggered off again
Bennell - soft calves

Shall I keep going?
