I don't think Acres is an appropriate comparison although they are both big bodied midfielders. Acres is an outside mid who doesn't use his bigger size, instead preferring to stay clear of the contest and be the one kicking it forward. Brodie enjoys getting into the contest, extracting the ball and tackling.
The problem he's had is being behind Miller, Greenwood and Swallow the past few years as the bigger bodied extractors (before Brodie had really matured physically to compete properly) and with the addition of Rowell, there isn't really any room for him. I see him as a bit of a Mundy/Fyfe replacement who can offer a bigger body to help out Brayshaw and Serong in the thick of it.
He had a fantastic run in 2019 between injury stints where he looked like he was going to tear the place apart and stamp himself as GC's next big inside mid. If he can get a good run at it with injury, I see a lot of value there.
