Why would we trade for a 190cm Victorian utility player. That's what the draft is for.

I'd be more interested in Jordan Clarke.

If we get a couple of picks in for Cerra, we won't actually be using those late ones as we're probably only selecting 4 kids on draft day. So while it would be a trade for Brodie, we wouldn't be trading anything we were going to use at the draft.

All he would effectively cost is a very low salary and a spot on the list. Worthwhile for someone with his ability and potential. We get a year or two to see if he can live up to his talent and if not, delist him.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

if we give nothing much up for him when there's not much left late in the draft, he could be worth it though

maybe take a chance

The risk reward sounds good for this speculative investment.. We will have most of our portfolio in blue chips like Brayshaw, Serong and Hayden Young.

If you as a professional footballer, a midfielder no less can find that sort of improvement in your third or fourth pre-season, like me prior to boot camp - you just haven't been working hard enough. Lazy even.

I read somewhere he doesn't enjoy running and it's always been a problem. Maybe all the things he says I just find too recognisable as an out of shape bloke. You can get me for a fifth rounder, Jezz.

I'd take you hypen, if only the AFL would give me a licence for my club, the Hobart DDevils.

(not a typo, they have two heads)

Good to hear. I thought it was all the hormones they put in the milk down there.

Have you ever wondered why Tasmania have such a big potato crop every year? Yeah, well you just got to consider that for a bit.

Ok, I've followed this guy on and off since the draft five years ago - it struck my interest when he said he was a Fremantle supporter. I don't want to kybosh anything, but if someone said "Polly, what do you think about Will Brodie?" I would have to reply "From what limited stuff I've seen, Blake Acres V2".

But if he truly models himself on Nat Fyfe then imagine what he can become being mentored by Fyfe?
