Sorry, Qsmd, you need a new translator app. There is a distinct lack of vowels in Lthn, and "flog" is pronounced "WCG".

You wear your club colours to a game to support your team who is playing in that game. If they are not playing in that game and you wear those colours you are coming off as someone who thinks other people give a @#$_ around who you barrack for.

some people don't give a sh1t about what other people think about what they are wearing

it's a football game. a place to celebrate your passion for the sport. even if other people think you're an idiot.

(I never wear my Freo gear to games when Freo aren't playing)

It's like a woman showing up to a wedding wearing a white dress. It's their day, not yours.

Sheesh, I have just worn my gear to keep warm. It's OK to go to the footy and wear what ever you want within reason I would have thought. I bought the tickets, there is no dress code on them, I get to wear my footy teams colours if I want to. Most people think I am an idiot for wearing the old anchor and Freo colours anyway with Pavs number on the back! Bit different to being invited to a wedding I recon. Never thought to wear my footy colours to a wedding. Speaking of Weddings:

My mate won two tickets for the AFL GRAND FINAL. They are box seats plus AFL Official Luncheon, Crown Casino penthouse accommodation and $1000.00 for miscellaneous expenses. When he won them his wedding date had not been finalised. Now it turns out the only date available at the church for their wedding is on AFL Grand Final Day - so he can't go.

So, If you're interested and want to go instead of him, it's at St Paul's at 5PM on Saturday, her name is Kate. She will be the one in the white dress.

I think wearing a non-competing team’s footy jumper, t-shirt or hoodie is a little weird. There are plenty of other clothing options available. It feels a bit to me like getting a personalised number plate. I don’t really understand who it’s for.

I don’t judge people too much for a beanie or rain jacket because it’s always possible that person doesn’t have a non-football version. It’s Perth; if you own more than one beanie you’re trying too hard.

I'm a Flog
Wore my Dockers gear to the 2015 GF.
Mainly to cheer from the fence when Luke went past in his retirement lap of the boundary.
Other benefits were the increasingly agitated WCE supporters to me as they were getting thrashed.
Hawthorne supporters and Melbournians love us compared to West Coast

Ok Morgan, if there are 'plenty of other clothing items available' how come you're always in that tattered 1995 away jumper? Honestly, has anyone seen Morgan wearing something else?

Technically it's the home jumper, but I've had to diversify my wardrobe because the wool jumpers, like their owners, do begin to show their age.

The new jumpers will outlast us all.

Back before I had a family and kids to entertain, I had an AFL membership, it granted access to one game a week at the G and one at Docklands, so 44 games per year (if you wanted to go to that many) quite often me and a couple of mates would do a double header on a Saturday, go to a day game at the G, wander into the city for a pub meal and some full strength beer then go to the night game at Docklands. As such I’d often be at one of those games in my Freo gear when we weren’t playing. The locals think nothing of it, it basically just says “I’m neutral, so don’t get angry at. E because your teams getting flogged by some other team”

Whatever you need to tell yourself.

My mum has been abusing people who wear the jumper of a team that's not playing since 1953, carrying on the tradition from her father.

You may not get abuse, but a twin button brown cardigan and corduroy pants at the footy will get a lot of stares, if that’s what you’re after.
