I really like Serong. Though I understood the reasoning behind Serong playing as a tagger given the midfield we had, we saw by the end of the season how good he can be when allowed to hunt for the ball.
Getting Neale hurts Serong’s development, and though Neale is a better player, he’s not so much better that you’d trade a great pick to get him when there’s so much overlap there.
If he was a free agent, sure. But how much would you be willing to trade for him? I wouldn’t want to give up an early first.
