An honest toilet is hard to find. They are often deceptively smelly or slippery when wet.

Brutal yet honest. I would have kept both Watson and Duman....

With Tucker and Aish playing back, Hughes still waiting, Cox, Hamling, Wilson, Pearce and Logue and then the three new excellent prospects in Chappie, Hayden and Brandon Walker, I count 11 defenders, theres just no room for Tobe, Taylin and Leno Thomas. We have simply found better prospects.

We need a winger, a quality half forward and a midfielder to replace Cerra. Freddie still has a way to go and Acres disposal isnt good enough. I still think at least the wing solution could come from our plethora of quality back men. I would love to see Hayden Young further up the ground on the wing, delivering into half forward. Also Logue doesnt seen to be a natural back man to me.

Logue needs to be taking the the third best forward, not second which he's been forced to do without Cox or Hamling.

All four of them where found wanting against the better sides. Recall Watson to be made to look very ordinary against port Adelaide as well as Duman. Just had not physical presence. Still the ball was getting waltzed out of the middle in the first qtr. as for bewley, just not enough dexterity.

I am mot sure black acres will survive either .

Maybe the freo club are learning about being ruthless with integrity .

Is Walters too slow to play on the wing? I would have thought that would be a better place for him than forward pocket where a defender is sitting on him. Maybe next year Logue gets put into the centre.

Farewell to these servants of the club and I hope they can pick up their life career. Tobe is still quite new; unlucky I'd say. Taylin was good but not against strong sides, where he is light framed. Good skills though.
JL did mention how our game collapses against top 8 sides. You need strong bodies to compete

I don’t know if Acres is still contracted but he should count himself lucky that there were 4 players before him that have been asked to leave.

A backline with Hamling, Pearce, Ryan, Cox, Chapman and Wilson doesn’t need Logue in it, although to his credit under tough circumstances he’s done a good job.

What we need to do is plan for replacing our big mids Mundy and Fyfe, and looking at who’ve we got Logue being only 22yrs old appears to be an option. Like Mundy he appears slow but moves well and is strong and balanced. Just like Mundy he’s started out in the backline so he’s done a defensive apprenticeship, which isn’t a bad thing.

194cm and 100kg, try stopping Logue clearing the ball out of bounce downs.

I can see the desire to have Logue as a wrecking ball in the middle, however he has two traits that are very unlike Mundy.
I) instead of creating time and space he seems to suck it up like a black hole, a seemingly simple ground ball get turns into a nightmare goal to the opposition as he fumbles then overruns the ball.
ii) he can’t get a target by foot to save himself, how many times did he come running out of the back 50 with a cute little 30m pass to a freo teammate only to miss by 10m and hit an opponent on the chest?

I think you don’t want him to be good and look for faults.

This season Logue has a better disposal efficiency and less unforced errors than Nick Haynes who is a gun has a played 4 times as many games as Logue.

It’s tough being a young backline player in a team with the poorest forward line tackle stat.

Eventually Latest delistings 2 years 8 months ago #40

Eventually
Moving Logue to onball seems a given to me, an ideal big body to takeover from Fyfe and Mundy as they ease out and spend more time in the forward line. He could turn out to be a just as explosive in the middle as Fyfey!

Logue has shown nothing to be considered a midfield prospect. The only logic used is that he's a little undersized to be a KPD so let's try somewhere else. Or alternately, imagine what a bloke of his size could do if he were a midfielder.

If that's the case, let's turn all key position players into midfielders. Imagine what a 203cm, 112kg wrecking ball could do if played as a midfielder, good luck tackling Darcy! How about a 201cm, 99kg Alex Pearce running through the middle, how good would our midfield be?!

The reality is you need a lot of attributes to be a competent midfielder let alone one who impacts the game. Some of the most important which Logue tends to lack are game awareness, agility, football knowledge and a bit of speed.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.
