If Cerra goes to Carlton then we demand their first and second round picks. I wouldn't take SPS. I'd be more interested in getting a player like Jordan Clark from Geelong for a second round pick. I'd be bold and then offer Carlton's first round pick to Sydney for Logan MacDonald. That's basically two good WA lads for Cerra.

Sydney won’t trade Logan. He is highly rated and will be required when Buddy leaves. The timing will be perfect in terms of Logan’s development. Sydney have planned it beautifully. It’s like the opposite of what we did with Pav.

Fremantle need to be realistic about where the rebuild, and list, are at. It is currently so far off premiership contention that there is no point in targetting anyone over their mid 20's. They also need to factor in that our top three best players of the last decade in Fyfe, Walters, and Mundy won't be around if the club can develop into a contender. It is a pretty bleak realisation. I admit to being usually as disheartened as anyone on here, but I reckon the rebuild is really still only in it's infancy. It will be Serong, Brayshaw, Darcy etc as older players that may take us somewhere. But the list in general is pretty poor, and full of gaping holes in key positions.

Clear no for me.

He was getting dropped to the seconds this season because his game has fallen away. He's too old for our rebuild profile and too expensive. I can't see that he has anything to offer Freo and moving him on will greatly benefit GWS.

That trade would be a clear dud, especially when he'd end up playing at Peel anyway.

Why does Cornes hate Freo? Is it coz Fyfey called him an old man?

WTB from what I see Logan is not in Sydney's best 22 currently. McLean is picked ahead of him. We'll see what happens in the finals.
Make them an offer at least. Is Buddy on their list next season? As far as I know the answer is yes. So Logan waits in the wings for another season? Carlton's pick 6 is not insignificant.

What chance do we have when our own supporters think pick and SPS is fair value.
Cerra was pick 5 and has proven to be a quality pick 5, with his output lifting substantially this year.
How can a pick lower, who may not even get on the park, plus a bloke that has, been given 80 games to prove himself, at a team arguably worse than us, then couldn’t maintain his spot to try and force his value up.
If it’s six plus player/s its SPS and Fisher. I’ve watched a bit over the years and I’ve seen more to get excited about out of Fisher than SPS. It seems Dockerland has a higher opinion of SPS than the Carlton supporters I know. Both might not turn out but you have two swings.
I watched Clark with interest this year. I was keen on him last year but he’s a no for me. Why don’t we chuck Paddy Dow into the mix as well, another high pick that just isn’t very good. Taken at pick 3

DBTS Clark is not getting a fair go at the Cats.
He's a very good player who would fill the spot on the wing left by Ed Langdon - and Langdon is now the best wingman in the comp and I hope gets a premiership medal. I see Clark on one wing and Fredrick on the other. Btw I also like Fredrick's brother who is on the PA list.

If Cerra decides to leave let’s hope another club gets involved. Especially with all the dramas currently at Carlton. With Josh Kelly signing long term at GWS, Cerra is affordable for North Melbourne. They have a few more commodities that would do nicely ie pick 1 and Cam Zurhaar. Pick 6 and SPS just doesn’t cut it for Cerra. Coniglio is a no for me and Clark is a yes.

He'd fill a critical role on our list. Highly talented, perennially injured player that is consistently two weeks away from playing only to be pushed back another six weeks before being marked TBA to season.

He's twenty seven so we'd get at least four years out of him. No Bennell sure.
