Why do the supermarkets open the full checkout but keep the self serve checkouts closed in the mornings when there is less staff. It should be the other way around.

I had to line up at self serve in Bunnings, there were two units open and they had three shut. I politely asked why this was. "We haven't got enough staff at the moment." Whatever technological advancement in customer service is made its like this rule of retail that you must line up.

On another note, how's Wilson getting close to knocked out and not paying a kick.

In other good news the new checkouts in Coles have combined the conveyor belt and the self scan.
