I disagree that we played well in the first half we scored heaps and they scored more it was ping pong with no accountability. I if that second half represents effort I would hate to see a lack of it.

Gee's we are a sensitive bunch. I'm still smiling at the way Hodor rag dolled that Eagles chump over the boundry line. It reminded me of a WB ute losing the back end avoiding a roo and rolling over end on end in the gravel. Bloody marvelous thing to watch! (Unless you are the driver of the ute, or the Eagles chump player Hodor caught and gave a physics lesson too). It was a sight you can not un see. Go Hodor, thankyou, now go catch Gaff will you!

Darcy Tucker was rushed back in because they know he can play. In an ideal world our list would have the depth/less injuries that would allow him to play a couple more games at Peel before coming back in. Ditto Logue.

What football shows us each week is that to a large degree its played on the day. We've looked like world beaters one week and like what we did yesterday. Its going on with almost every team at the moment. They disgraced themselves last week.

On the day things didn't go right for us. We were matching it with them in the first half.

We should've beaten them, beaten them by a fair margin. But, and there's a number of reasons why not - hopefully those that can be fixed will be - but we just didn't. The next Derby is our home game - I'll be there and we'll win it.

Yes they had players out and so did we but we got some serious ingame injuries and they didnt, its not an escape goat its what happened, to an extent it was misfortune but it affected our ability to rotate players off the bench, our guys got tired as the quarter drags on and they get the run. We were in it and in front until we lost, or severely impacted some players with injury. We will bounce back.

On a positive note, the kick it long to the forward line into a three on one or intercept mark didn't feature as prominently yesterday. Fatty out helped that but tactically it looked a different strategy. So, we tried something different from the RoLy days..... Yay!
Now we just need to find an alternate strategy that actually works.

As you are developing you need to stick to your game plan. I remember watching Hawthorn around 2005. When they won it was hard to believe that anyone could beat them. Then the next week they'd look like chumps and lose. But as they persevered the number of times that they looked like chumps became fewer and fewer.
We'll get there.
