over the years whenever they have everything to play for (in this case a possible top four spot with bonus of sending the eagles season off the rails) they blow it convincingly.

and now they are out of the eight to WC. suck that up for a second. pathetic result for a game that this squad should have won on paper. pathetic and weak were used to describe WC last week, now who owns the tag?

We looked dead on our feet in the second half with players gone missing everywhere. Lobb, Crowden, Tucker, Acres,Serong, Schiltz, Tabs, Frederick all went missing for large periods. Darcy was unsighted and Fyfe couldn't get any space to work in. We were out coached, out played and made to look second rate. I look forward to Treacy, Sturt and Ryan returning next week but really the players just need to learn from this result and freshen up for another tough test.

Forget we were undermanned down back, so were they. Our midfield was simply outclassed and over-run, no wonder the ball kept coming back so frequently. They had over twice as many shots at goal at us. Our rucks didn't exactly cover themselves in glory either.

Overall it was an embarrassing performance and the few players who can hold their head high should be filthy at their team mates.

Have a look at 18:40 in the 4th. Walters marks and an Eagle stands the mark. Another one running through the protected area, not running away, stops and props to squeeze Walters kicking options. Should have been a 50 straight away.

After that second half of footy I’m left speechless and numb. That was as bad a half as I’ve seen Freo play. The players may have been injured but it appeared there was no willingness to compete. Except for a few players the rest just decided to remain in the change rooms after half time.

You don't even know what you mean when you say Longmuir was outcoached. From what I saw, their ruckman was very good and Meek would have been handy, was disappointing id thought we'd smack them in the centre clearances, also we overused the handball. And when we turned it over we couldn't stop them scoring. We ensured they went wide sometimes but didn't get back in numbers enough of the time.

We didn't seem to have the legs to play the way we wanted to play.

And if Taberber stays that close to goal we need another tall mobile key position player who can get up the ground.

The other thing, I didn't think we were that hard at the ball.

We had a bad day.
