Darcy has been great ever since I called him fat and overrated. You’re welcome.

I've repeatedly spruiked Darcy as an incredibly important part of the side and someone very capable of being the best ruckman in the comp as he matures. As Morgan mentioned, the key areas to a ruckman's game are hit outs to advantage and contested marking and he is already pushing the elite players in these metrics.

I hope his performances this season put to bed the thoughts that English is a comparable ruckman and we should trade the two. Not only is English a year older than Darcy but he's a terrible ruckman and now plays second fiddle to Stefan Martin. If it weren't for his ability to run around the ground and beat midfielders in marking contests, he wouldn't get a game. He'll be a good half forward but when it comes to the ruck craft, Darcy is the man.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Well...I just reckon Hodor is great!

Its great to see how far he's come, and its great to see him clunkin' 'em & bootin' em down forward. And, belting into a few packs.

He's had a few knockers over the time, mind you..... - as has the next bloke who is gonna "explode" & be a star - Micheal Fredricks!

But heres a news flash, kids develop! Yep, they might take a while to get it together, but, provided you've got "the right stuff they'll get there.

And the right stuff - in my humble opinion - is a footy brain! He's a smart footballer, amd , yep, he's had to get his body right, to reveal his genuine ability.

I'm really happy for him that his hard work is now seeing him get noticed.

How he didn't win a rising star , I'll never know.

But there maybe more meaningful gongs for him in the very near future.

Hypen, unless you believe that ALL 19 year olds go on to become long term footballers, it’s not “moronic” to raise concerns about SOME players and aspects of their development. Nor are the concerns that are raised necessarily a bad thing, e.g. punters being concerned about Hodor’s weight, knee or kicking style over the last couple of years haven’t written him off, they are just making observations at that time that raise concerns rather than demonstrating displays of a “moronic” lack of knowledge about the game. As another example, I’m certainly one who was concerned about Bradshaw even though he always looked likely to be a very good footballer, I just thought pick 2 in the draft was too high. In his case, I’m happy to be proven wrong based on this year’s performance. That doesn’t make me or anyone else that had the same view (and there were many) morons.

Don't worry about hypen, he was bagging a 19 year old David Mundy. 1986 I think it was.

David Mundy is one paced and will never amount to anything. We should have taken English instead.

Some say I should have taken English and that's ok too.

Hypen coming in hot.

I was thinking about asking people why they thought our goal kicking had got even worse after Lyon left, despite the team dedicating more time to 'craft', but I didn't want to ruin the 3-game winning streak buzz around here; and yet a 'the young kid goes alright' softball post still has people calling each other morons.

Lucky Fradonjan is kicking around to keep this place respectful.

Good player - but he still needs a kiss and cuddle during each game when he gets hurt and then comes back on the ground invigorated

Schultz, Walters, Hodor and Mundy are kicking straight. Tabs is ok. Just Fyfe and Lobb are having a rough patch. They'll come good.

Hodor kicked a ripper from 50m against Adelaide. He also kicked a boomerang that somehow went through against North. If it had spun around any further he would have been able to mark his own kick.

You can add Frederick to the list of bad kicking for goal. 4.10
Fyfe 1.12
Lobb 0.4 plus a good sprinkling of out on the full.
