I’ve just finished listening to JL’s presser and am struck by how disappointed he was about the impact of the current lockdown on the Len Hall commemoration. Clearly it is something that the club has invested a great deal of effort into and it has significant meaning for a lot of people around WA. This was also referenced in during the game, including the expected contributions by a 102 year old vet.
I appreciate that this following may be too left field for some, but rather than waste all that planning, I certainly wouldn’t be upset if the club decided to give it another go at the next home game (subject to some understandable variations of participants aren’t available). Surely under the current circumstances it would be better to have something two weeks late than not at all. It wouldn’t be ANZAC Day but it could still have meaning.
