The squads for the game have
been announced here as well as announcing a stream of the game at 8am Perth time tomorrow. It'll be the first time we've had a combined squad game in a long time so it's a great opportunity to see not only how the kids for the upcoming draft have developed in comparison to each other but how they fare against mature bodies (there are a lot of AFL listed players going up against them).
The West Aussies to look out for are:
19.
Neil Erasmus - A big bodied midfielder who has started the colts season racking up big numbers, he's one who might be pushing the top 20 picks if he continues in this form.
22.
Matthew Johnson - Another huge midfielder (191cm) who starred in the colts grand final last season as an under-ager. He's a good chance at a top 5 pick with all the tools; speed, size, skills and smarts. Coming off an injury interrupted pre-season, I don't think he'll get a lot of game time tomorrow.
23.
Jacob van Rooyen - As mentioned earlier, a hard working tall forward who has great hands and a fantastic kick. Likely to be the first tall selected on draft day.
24.
Rhett Bazzo - He's made the move to a KPF post and is playing well so far there. He may get minutes down back in this game but it'll be good to see him contesting balls against bigger bodies. He sits just behind Roy and Williams in the KPF stakes as he adjusts to the forwardline.
27.
Jack Williams - Coming off a 5 goal haul last weekend, he's adjusting well to becoming a KPF who relieves the ruck. He's outside the top 10 picks at present but a performance against mature bodies could catapult him up a lot of draft boards.
