Why are teams so inconsistent between playing at home and away. Simple. They are paid the same. In a workplace some days you work had and other days you daydream. Last week we were in daydream mode. We need our players to develop a passion for the purple jumper. Otherwise they just don’t give a toss whether they lose from week to week.

I’m torn between examining the clubs culture, one that seems to be more on spin and excuse rather than cold hard facts and expectations; and the apparent reliance by players upon the incredible support generated by club members.
If we compare the culture at Sydney, West Coast , Hawthorn...etc... with that of Fremantle, North Melbourne and maybe Gold Coast the successful clubs take a talented player and mold him into the clubs standards, systems and expectations... a cog in the club machine.
I think Fremantle is a club desperate for success without producing the bricks and mortar necessary to produce a winning culture. We winge about the umpires, injuries, bad luck, poor draft picks.....but when an average player leaves Freo they reinvent themselves and produce brilliant footy.... turn the page on brilliant players joining Freo and becoming below average results... rant over

I think at the moment Snail a favourable injury list would see us knocking on the door of a top four place.

I went and watched a team on Saturday who knew how to play football. Hate them or not. Cripps blocking for Oscar Allen. Kennedy blocking for Darling, three talls instinctively spreading cause Hinkley went in too small. They worked as a team.

I'm not convinced half of our lads have been fully introduced to one another. It's a game of instinct born out of familiarity. Just can't get game time together...
