These days a team can reasonably expect to get a further 3 possessions for each mark/free kick, especially since the man on the mark is effectively out of the game. So a free kick differential of 15 should result in a disposal difference of ~45, all other things being equal (except if you use the free kick to bomb it long down the line...).
On the actual game, I thought we fought it out well. There were a few blowouts this round, and it is to our credit that a game that could have ended up as a 100 point drubbing finished considerably better than that.
It was nice of JLo to deflect attention away from Cox by saying that others should have stepped up to help. but it just shows the difference between Hamling and Cox. McKay would never have had as much room against Hamling.
