To top it off, despite the injuries to Schultz and Young, the only charge of the game was laid against Conca for rough contact, he gets a fine.

No fine for Cripps for hitting Brayshaw from behind, and not in play?? The AwFL & MRP can't have had any vision of the incident.

Or, they only watched the first quarter of the game.

These days a team can reasonably expect to get a further 3 possessions for each mark/free kick, especially since the man on the mark is effectively out of the game. So a free kick differential of 15 should result in a disposal difference of ~45, all other things being equal (except if you use the free kick to bomb it long down the line...).
On the actual game, I thought we fought it out well. There were a few blowouts this round, and it is to our credit that a game that could have ended up as a 100 point drubbing finished considerably better than that.
It was nice of JLo to deflect attention away from Cox by saying that others should have stepped up to help. but it just shows the difference between Hamling and Cox. McKay would never have had as much room against Hamling.

Given Eddie was allowed to do what he did, and given he would be allowed to do it to Hamling, I reckon Joel would have had trouble getting the job done as well.

Hamling is a negating defender, Cox a rebound tall. Very few players are playing their preferred role at present.

If Freo want to accomplish something in this competition they are going to have to address their perennial injury crisis.

And from a list management perspective, brave decisions need to be made with players that spend more of their careers in rehab than with the main training group. They hurt the depth of the list and continually place the club at a disadvantage.

I think this is the most I've ever seen PAV's guernsey in rehab... what's going on there, have we officially delisted it?

DS, Logue is averaging 4 games a season. If we can't get a fair bit more out of him in 2021 then you most certainly have to question his future on our list. The problem with the Fremantle Football Club is that we have always got what we paid or gave up for someone at the forefront of our mind, regardless of how many years roll by.

I don’t think either Logue or Treacy played in Peel’s loss to the Sharks on the weekend, so don’t expect them to be sure inclusions for this Sunday.
Blakey did play and will probably come in. I’d throw O’driscoll in as well. He’s very young but couldn’t do worse than some who ran out on Sunday.

It's at the point with Alex Pearce, he is offered a spot on the rookie list. I know that's harsh, but it's been five years now of constant injury.
