Put the game behind us - it was awful to watch, even tougher to stomach. Sure, a lot of players were below par, the good ones average, some were good, yet remarkably most were stoic and fought on. The umpiring was pathetic but that happens, better luck next week.
My concerns are pretty basic - the largest one is around the backing in of risk taking. JLo has spoken a lot about this, about encouraging players to have a go. Sure, sometimes it goes horribly wrong and you end up with Hayden Young kicking out of the goal square and all four wheels flying off his bus afterwards. It was a risky kick but it was the right one to take - a bit more oomph to the kick it would've gotten there quicker and we were away into open ground. But it never worked and the kid lost his decision making totally (thankfully he was subbed out, hopefully he's ok).
But you gotta trust the talent to stretch their limits, to take risks and become better. Stick with it JLo - those Carltoon knobbers can just get knotted, we'll get to them in the future.
