TOPIC: Nat Fyfe

Is he the best WA has produced? Does he have Farmer, Todd and Cable covered? I think he does. He's the best I've seen. What you all think?

If not what else does he have to so?

I'd be happy to see him captain a premiership side and win the Normie in the process.

That's a big call, hypen.

It's pretty difficult to compare players from different eras and get any kind of accurate evaluation.

I still reckon Polly Farmer might be the best footballer out of WA closely followed by Steven Michael.

Fyfe is certainly up there with the best of them or he would be if he played in Victoria or perhaps the slimers

I would have thought Jakovich was pretty good...

He's a very good player but I find it hard to believe the best player from WA would have so little to do with East Fremantle.

So I'm going to have to give it to Ben Cousins.

Yeah, tough one. A third Brownlow and a premiership would certainly help seal it. He’s 29 and only played 187 league games. How much magic has he still got in him?

That smother, collect, run on and booming 55m goal was spectacular on Saturday. Still, I would be more than happy if he could just kick straight in a GF.

On the measures stated here, surely Simon Black rates a mention?

But as brilliant player that he was, he wasn't 'miraculous' like Fyfe.

If Fyfe's kick was better than it was, he'd certainly be in the realms of Farmer & Micheal, I'd reckon....

Contrary to Mick Malthouse's rantings last year I think the only fault in Nat's game is his kicking. This facet of his game hasn't improved to any great degree since our GF loss in 2013and it's the only area that a lot of footy scribes rate him lower than guys like Danger and Dusty.

I can't agree Gumnut. It is obvious to me that Fyfe has put a lot of work into his kicking. Last season he was one of our more reliable shots on goal. He'll never be a Caleb Daniel, but he knows it is his weakness and he is improving at it.

I’ll always defend Fyfe for his wayward kicking in the first quarter of the GF. The wind was crazy for the first 15 mins, you could see the tops of the goalposts swaying.

I’ve always thought his hairstyles have been his only weakness.
