There were some valid criticisms of his overly-effusive style, and maybe he’d lost a step in his calling, but I always loved Bruce and this is a bit sad; largely because the networks have never promoted anyone capable of filling his shoes.

It’s a big loss to the intellect and integrity of football calling.

Polly, Richie described the cricket, Maxwell was the Bruce of cricket commentary. They (Jim & Bruce ) tried to be the new Commetti, but they, along with Dennis himself, failed.
