To be fair, WTB, I cherry-picked that, but I can't find a direct quote from the West article, partly reproduced in the interests of accuracy below:
"...It comes as Eagles football manager Craig Vozzo said he felt anger and disappointment at the forward’s latest setback, saying Rioli was “a mess”.
Speaking at a press conference this morning, Vozzo admitted the club holds fears Rioli has a drug problem as he prepares to face court tomorrow, with no guarantee he would keep his spot on West Coast’s list.
“It’s definitely in that category,” Vozzo said of potentially sacking Rioli. “We need to deal with the facts and the outcome from a legal process point of view. We need to find out where that lands, exactly what’s involved and what the court determines before we make a decision. “It’s a very fine line that he’s run with these allegations, for sure.”
Vozzo said the club found out about the charge last night after Rioli told the club’s integrity manager. “He’s a mess, he’s gutted and he’s not in a good space,” Vozzo said. “(I’m) feeling a number of emotions — very disappointed, and anger too.”
Vozzo said he was “not going to shy away” from Rioli having a potential drug problem. “He’s got an issue that he needs help with,” he said. “We try our best from the distance but it’s very hard. “He’s made some really poor and disappointing decisions. We’ve got to get a balanced decision after getting all the information and the court outcome.”
Post Note- apparently: West Coast said Rioli only told the club’s integrity manager Peter Staples about the situation yesterday, despite being charged by police more than two weeks ago
My thoughts are I reckon teammates might just think they have been let down enough now.
