He’s gotta go doesn’t he? Anybody suspended for what he has been suspended for is probably on a good behaviour bond for the term of that suspension at least, and probably longer.
I reckon the Budgies would be extremely disappointed that he has been caught in possession of (still) illegal drugs but what would really stick in their craw would be that he failed to notify the club when he was arrested. That breach of trust should be the final straw in my opinion.
For what it’s worth I reckon they will take the easy option and extend his suspension until the season is over.

The budgies would have to be particularly concerned given all of Australia is now aware Riolli attempted to smuggle drugs through an airport.

You couldn’t take Riolli interstate without at least raising consideration of some attention from the local 5 0.

Could only imagine what a travelling party of budgies would have between them if Victorian authorities decided to run the drug dog across them all….

It must be hard being a so-so player at that lot knowing that Willie Weed is about to return. You would not be well pleased and the idea of being delisted would start to impinge on your consciousness. For that reason alone I don;t think his return would be well received by most players.
So i agree with what has been suggested that the easy out is to extend the suspension.
As for supporting him, let him get a job at Maccas. Major sponsor aren't they?
