It's free food time for the printed media - never has it been easier to score a quick paycheck for 1500-2000 words. It’s not the most pressing point Shane, but if you take it as a given that privilege, nepotism and entitlement are pervasive and powerful forces in Victorian life (as I do), then there seems to be at least Alanis Morissette-level irony in holding up Eddie McGuire (the son of a Scottish immigrant coal miner) and Andrew Demetriou (the son of a Cypriot immigrant fishmonger) as archetypes of those forces despite the likelihood they achieved what they did for most of their career despite those forces than because of them.
