We certainly had the short end of the stick playing the OOFTIT"s in a monsoon. It really halted our ability to win and maintain the ball, blunting our forwardline. Fingers crossed that's the last of the wet games for our girls.

Probably was a good game to have Katie-Jayne Grieve's aggressive physicality rampaging through the middle!

The level of skill has improved enormously the past couple of seasons, even in yesterdays terrible weather the skills were on the display and the teams played well. The game is no longer the scrum it was a few seasons ago, it is open with good running and some great kicking skills.

Good to see the AFLW embrace Pride Round this week.

I’ve always felt the Fremantle Football Club let itself down by not joining the AFL and half the AFL clubs in supporting the ‘Yes’ campaign during the 2017 marriage equality vote. I understand the intention of keeping the club apolitical, but when you know you have players in same sex relationships on your list, know how hard the lead up to the vote was on same sex couples, and are supposed to be representing one of the more inclusive communities in Australia, I thought it was a bit gutless.

I thought it was again telling Freo were one of the few clubs not to recognise Pride Week on their guernsey / socks on the weekend.

I quite enjoyed this article. I must admit, I never thought about the effect inter-club and intra-club relationships and breakups would have on a team.

Whilst the acceptance of LGBTIA players in AFLW is laudable it is sad that not one male player feels they are empowered or supported to come out. I cant believe that there is not one male LGBTIA player in the AFL.

But then why would they come out, you look at the moronic comments our indigenous players get, imagine the keyboard warriors if a brave soul did come out.

We still have a very long way to go before the AFL represents the broader community on this.
