Two years ago (the last time Jesse got on the park consistently) he kicked 2.5 goals a game, had 18 touches, 6.2 marks (1.2 contested) and a couple of tackles while running from midfield forward.

For comparison, Tabs (in slightly reduced game time) in his career-best season had 10 kicks, 1.8 goals, 5.8 marks (2.4 contested) and 0.5 tackles.

It’s not even worth considering Mihocek’s 0.4 goals a game etc.

For all the deserved talk about Tabs’ great season, as we speak we are shaping to give away a player who is a few years younger than Tabs, and has demonstrated he is capable of equally (and in my view eclipsing) Tabs performance, and there is a chance to have them in the same bloody team!

If we trade him we might be getting rid of some headaches, but we’re dramatically lowering our ceiling as a team. Perhaps there is more to the story, but it reeks of a lack of ambition to me.

We wanted to get rid of those who sell the farm for a dream, and said so. We get a coach who decides to sell those who are not with the program, and all of a sudden he is the one copping the blame, not those who haven't fronted up and performed.
Let Longmuir sweep the floor clean and start to do things his way. Judge him on what he can do with his methods, not what he has to do with others mistakes.
