How many times can you be on the boundary line, in a tackle, kick it high and slow so it slews out on the full?

Then just keep kicking it high and out on the full rather than a low slider with some chaos value?

Seriously, two daks and a goal by Serong is worth a Platinum pledge?

How the hell Banfield, Matera, Bewley, Shultz, Conca offer more than Blakely I don’t know. None of these players get enough footy and I see no evidence of the apparent extra skill level they possess.
I want to see Meek and Blakely next week

Well, there was the 137 free kicks against Darcy in ruck contests to learn from.

Spectacular.

It’s hard not to be totally demoralised by such an inept performance. Having said that we do have a lot of injuries but we say that every year. The game plan is still being learned. Remember the longer game about testing the youngsters. Unfortunately it is our senior players who have been really poor and Sean Darcy May be a dud. But I will wait until he plays at least 10 to 20 consecutive games.
Just an awful night

Remember when we had two fast wingmen that could run all day and rack up possessions.......and now we've got Acres and Bewley.

I'm not sure Darcy had a 'horror'... big bloke on a wet night...he had 11 disposals and 35 HO . Matera & Shculz had 9 & 8 disposals respectively.

Yep, the opposition have worked out a way of getting free kicks off him....and yep , he's gonna have to work out how to combat that. Hes got 2 ex-ruckman as coaches, and Sandi's got a role down there hasn't he?... so , I'd be thinking he's getting a fair chunk of advice at the moment. Maybe too much?

But I would have expected our 2 small forwards to have had a greater impact tonight. In short, they are not up to it....and one has the excuse that hes only a few games into his career....

The other , does not....

Weather v Cats turned out to be the most accurate description of tonight’s game.

Hopefully next week Freo will make the main event.

I find it very disappointing that once again a team from interstate has handled Perth weather and conditions so much better than the Dockers.

True. We have always been hopeless in the wet.

There wasn't a single person in this state that didn't know what the weather would be this evening - except one, and he or she set the game strategy. It was downright stupidity persisting with it after the main break knowing that you only managed a couple of behinds in an entire half of footy. The weather was known.

I thought this 'stick with it even though it's not working' baloney ended when we cleared those fat pancakes out of the club. If you can't think properly off of an eight day break surely you would try something different after the main break. Long down the boundary...oops; ok, long down the boundary...oops; ok, long down the boundary...oops; yeesh. It really doesnt get dumber than that.

That game was soul destroying.

Exactly right Polly. Match committee too. Its not like they've got only 25 blokes that they've flown with. Crowden would have been pretty useful tonight.

But yeh...whys this 'down the line' thing' still here. Thought thats why the last bloke got booted.??

If that's J-Lo's 'great coaching that Mick still raves about, then? well...I don't like it.
Just like playing precision , short pass footy in the wet is not a good idea....

Darcy just gets a disrespectful raw deal. Most are rubbish ruckmen 50/50 wrestling but I can't remember Darcy getting a free. He got done for blocking at a centre bounce down..he made better position concerning the timing of the bounce.
Walters is trying cover to much ground, just stay in our forward half.
Mundy should be in our forward half demanding the ball not being in the trenches.
From the last couple of games we don't mix it up. We kick out the same wing each time and it comes back, the same as last week. The game was played in front of the dugouts on the wing.
Tonight it should have been torps down the centre after half time and not a handhall in sight.
We are very predicable and thats why we didn't have space the entire night.
