At 78 games compare him with J Riewoldt and a few other key forwards for this season. Having played only 78 games Taberner is only just getting going. Would it be fair to say that being coached by Lyon didn’t do him any favours?
What I have noticed this year is he plays closer to goal, too often last season he was getting possession on the wing or high half forward to than was too far out for a shot, this year he is playing closer to goal and getting his marks there. just needs to work on spatial awareness and Kicking. Its good he stays in the 50 most of the time
Polly that’s something that can be fixed. What I noticed in watching a replay of the game was how much aerial presence he gives us around the ground. We never really had that but Lobb and Tabs are good strong contested marks, with Tabs get a few more games into him and some good coaching he should get better.
