Good idea. I’m going to take photos as well. Not going to risk missing the entire first half if they pull the reset password stunt on me again.

Soooooo
After 2 days of faffing about with various accounts, Apps, websites, etc. I tried again this morning on my Ticketmaster account on my wife's phone. It said 2 tickets being forwarded, unclaimed by recipient (me). Cancelled forwarding and "view barcode" came up instantly. Frustrating, but got there in the end! This post was my "go to" for info. Thanks Dockerlanders

Feel your pain Vicmont. Had similar issues at the start.
Panadol was helpful!

Thanks PurpleDockette and all. My mate tried again this morning and all good. Must have been a system error.

Goldmember, Tjmckay and fellow dockerlanders thanks so much for all the advice. I have just bought a Samsung a30 in order to go to games. I still can’t use it properly yet but have managed to download Ticketmaster app and finally found tickets (which I’d purchased using my iPad). I’ve also done a screenshot of them just in case (learned how to do that by asking google). Hopefully the two of us can go in using the one phone as can’t really afford 2. I did also sms the screenshot to hubby’s telstralite $9 phone but don’t know how good that will scan - fingers crossed, the Panadol helped too!

Thought you might have been better off going for the red wine.

I was holding back while everyone sorted their barcodes and stuff. It seems like an awful mess that most spent countless hours of anxiety on.

Shane asked the question earlier but I'm not sure it's been answered.

What is wrong with the old scan your membership card system, has anyone at Docker Control given any reason for altering it into this mess?

Scanning 2020 membership card won't work because those seat numbers don't apply for the majority who are now 'reassigned' different seats.

A barcode is just a number. You can change what it means in your system.

Just seems weird to getting people into using expensive technology in replacement of a bit of paper or a plastic card. I'm sure they have a reason, or had one when they started.

Oh, probably so they can trace who was at the game in the event of a positive test.

Thanks for all the hints and tips on navigating the system, Dockerlanders, you helped save 50% of our frustrations.
We managed to get seats directly under Troy if he is there! Normally in block 120 but really happy to be going to the game.
Go Freo!!!!

Where technology is concerned it’s important to remember it took Coles and Woolies about 2 months to add a toggle to their online sites to give pensioners priority access to deliveries. That was a genuine public health crises with lives on they line while they were making record profits, and they still could do it quickly.

Freo and Ticketmaster went from one ticket system to another in a few days, while they’re both losing money and have skeleton crews for a game of footy. I wasn’t stoked about the 24 hours of stress when I thought my ticket disappeared into the ether, but I’ll probably cut them some slack.

Nah, COVID-19 has just been a convenient excuse in the cost cutting drive. First to go digital was the yearbook. Now it’s the membership card and lanyard’s turn.
