Id love to see him bullocking in the midfield and drifting forward and back to take grabs. His athleticism is outstanding he can play on talls and smalls is quick and reads the play. You put him in the middle with Fyfe and Mundy and we will be cleaning up the clearances.

You really should have to self report if you doubted Griffin Logue (cmon - there were many)
He is the strongest bloke at the club that can run and mark..His save in the final quarter also proved he has footy smarts.
So whos first??

I will put my hand up and say at the time I thought we paid too high (pick 8 after bid matching) for him, mainly as i thought if he was our target we could have traded down the order and picked up another pick in 20's or 30's as we could have landed him with a pick in the teens.

Unless they had some very good intel that someone else was interested, I still wonder if this was a possibility.

He is starting to look more and more like a pick 8 every game he plays now.

We didnt match any bid for him PK - He was not part of an academy or a father son.
We picked him at Number 8 - an inspired selection really.
Port was going to take him as would have Eagles soon after us..

For memory many on DL potted us for not taking Will Brodie who went to GC at the next pick 9.
I know who I would rather have now.

You may recall we originally had pick 3 but downgraded as part of the Cam mac trade prior to the draft.
I suspect Griff was the main reason for this..

Sorry our pick 6 became pick 8 as it was pushed down the order by academy bids earlier in the first round.

I've always said that Griff will eventually move up into the midfield in a similar vein to Pav. He has a similar mobility and could also emulate Pav's journey to key forward further down the track.

I always thought he would be good, he has the physical traits to be good, my concern when we drafted him was whether he was injury prone and how often he would get on the park, he seems to have got over is injury issues and hopefully plays many more games for us.

I think his best value will be as the versatile attacking defender. He seems to know when to go, and when to whoa. He can play on a Plugger or a Cameron and everything in between, and we have a plethora of big-bodied mids, thanks to some inspired draft choices.

Ok ok - I did use the endearing nickname Boofhead somewhat indiscriminately when talking about disposals, clangers and missed tackles at times.

The real question is who would Bizkit Take in that draft now ? Logue or Sam Petrevski-Seton.

For me, Logue looks the better pick.

In addition to Logue at #8 we took Sean Darcy at #38, Brennan Cox at #41 and Luke Ryan at #66

The 2016 draft could prove to be pretty decent.

100% SPS.

1 game against the worst forwardline in the comp who kicked as poorly as I've seen in an AFL game doesn't justify pick 8 for me. It's the easiest gig you're going to get as a key defender. Having said that he played well and I hope he continues to improve.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Sorry, Biz, this is obviously the first game you've watched this year because Griff's been the linchpin of the defence since Round 1 and he's just getting better. Rarely beaten so far this year.
