You seem to be struggling with our song Mushroom. All you need to overcome the struggle is the realisation that every single club song is dumb and rubbish. It's half the point of them, something easy to chant out after a win.

Our song is no different but it is OUR song. There's no changing it, it's a part of the club. Embrace it and enjoy it.

I always struggle with anything, at any time, that could be better but people just go along with it.

I don’t want to own it.

It was forced on me 25 years ago. It was reinforced on me 12 years ago, only in a worse state. The song needs the September 2019 that the football department had.

I would enjoy it more if we sang the whole bloody song instead of repeating the same verse. It's as if it's too hard to remember two verses or something.
Plus Dropkick Murphy's need to be heard. Just the music we should be hearing when and if the rock and drums return.

I've got to admit, I had no idea what Birds of Tokyo had to do with anything - when I read Tragic's post I thought 'that's random'. When everyone started carrying on about footy club songs I Googled Birds of Tokyo and footy - then I discovered what the hoopla was all about.

There. Is. No. Bloody. Way that one digit iq pack of mongrels will every be able to collectively sing that tune. When they try - after a win at home I assume - it's going to provide the most hilarious television the world has ever seen. I'm tuning in for certain.
