Just to help you out here, according to the AFL in 2011 (the last time I can find with this level of detail) the average Ass Coach was paid around the $125k mark. In the 8 years since, I'm pretty sure that hasn't gone down. in fact, I doubt you would get an Ass Coach who was actually worth his / her while for around the $125 - $150k mark because they could get a better deal elsewhere and clubs do compete for the best talent.
Salaries of around the 200 - 300k mark are often bandied around in the media when new Ass Coaches are appointed to clubs and let's face it, no one who could be earning pretty good money with a TV gig would turn it over for a job playing peanuts.
Clubs generally have a maximum of 10 Ass Coaches but usually less (AFL) and with the average (AFL estimate) of around $700k for senior coaches, a spend of $3 million would give all Ass Coaches around $300K on average. Some will get more, some will get less but nobody is going to go home hungry.
