Worse case we get Henry and one other top 10 and then a pick in the early second round
Best case we get two in the top 10, pick 22 and Henry
Theres a lot to play out

This happens every year, such and such is a potential top ten pick......currently we've got Jackson, Robertson and Henry going at picks 1,2,3.

The first five places are a lock, none of them include those three. We are a good chance at 7 and 10 to get two of the WA boys. And I hope its not Jackson we take. Cause you don't need Grundy to win a flag the game is telling us this.

Couldn’t agree more Hypen, I would like us to go the other way and trade 7 to Geelong for 14 & 17, hope Kemp slides to pick 10 and grab Henry, sharp & Rivers with 14, 17 & 22. Plus a couple of Biz specials with our later picks, that’ll set us up nicely for years to come.

It’s as if you haven’t even read ricco’s scientific data on draft picks, purple kit. Top 10 picks or GTFO.

If you had s choice between an A grade ball magnet and an A grade ruckman you would take the former 100% of the time. At best, as a developing ruck, Jackson would be struggling to get a game for the next three years. We can’t wait that long.

I think you're wrong about Jackson, Walter. If he is picked by Melbourne they have altready said he wouldn't be playing ruck but in the forward line where he is a better player already than Sam Weideman. The great thing about him is that with his mobility he could play pretty much anywhere forward or even on a wing and he WILL play next season and more than likely be a contender for Rising Star 2020. Unfortunately our current draft position will probably mean we wont get him but I think we have to just let it play out as we should still get some talented players including Liam Henry and maybe Deven Robertson but his disposal is a bit of a worry. I would probably prefer Trent Rivers, Jeremy Sharp or , I know he's a Victorian, Brodie Kemp. Maybe Lachie Ash.

I don't subscribe to the theory of having a star ruckman being meaningless. Collingwood are half the side they are because of the work Grundy does and if you look at Richmond and their tall forwards, they are incredibly influential. Jackson could be that for us but I would only take him at our current picks rather than trading higher up the order.

Brodie Kemp is still my favourite player available and I wouldn't worry too much about a kid who has hurt his knee. He'll have extra time in the gym gaining muscle and fitness which is perfectly fine. You don't draft kids to have a major impact in their first season so he's got plenty of time to recover and be the star he should be.

I see Robertson as a bit of a Tom Mitchell type who can find the ball and knows the game like the back of his hand but had a lot of question marks about his disposal. I think he has more impact with his disposals than Mitchell did as a junior but a few more questions on his kicking. It's a tough one given our lack of clean disposers but I expect that to improve with a coach who cares about skills.

Robertson could flourish with the right treatment and I think it's easier to teach someone to kick better (or at least take options that don't require pinpoint precision) than it is to teach someone how a game flows and the intricacies of AFL. That instinct and extra step you get from knowing what is going to happen on the field is invaluable and Robertson does have that. if he's there at 10 then I'd have no problem grabbing him.

I do see a bid coming for Henry before 10 though which will ruin things. A trade with another side that nets us henry and pushes pick 10 down to 20 or maybe less is very possible and if it is the case, maybe we can snare Sharp.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Let me know when a team wins the flag without gifted running midfielders and forwards.

Kemp then Henry.

Sides that win premierships have gifted everything, that's why they win premierships.

The OOFTIT's had a rubbish midfield last year. They still reckon Elliot Yeo is as good as Fyfe.

Who does our drafting? Like the actual statement. Because there's a big opportunity here

They have to at least say it.

We all know you need good midfielders, but you're also never going to win too many games, let alone grand finals without big marking forwards.

What you need is balance and complemntary list management.
