As all of you know I've been banging on about getting a Cam McCarthy card for a long time. Next year's offering doesn't include a Cam option. I've been hassling the poor people that manage the phones down at Cockburn Control over this issue and it just ain't going to happen.
Apparently only certain players agree to have their pictures on the card offerings every year - the good looking ones I assume, like Mikey Walters - other guys probably can't refuse a request, they just agree and head off to pick coffee beans in Peru (or something).
The process is Head Office make suggestions to the football department, who in turn pass on the suggestion to the playing group seeking approval. Then back to Central Control to the graphics people.
Ok - I've got Buckley's chance of getting one for next year. But the membership people said they would put my suggestion to the football department for the following year. What will help would be some of my like-minded mates giving the membership people a ring suggesting a Cam McCarthy option for 2021. Many thanks in advance, I can't keep ringing as I think they're a bit sick of me saying g'day.
I decided on selecting the Hoges option for the coming season - not happy, but happy enough to go with the big fella.
