Why is there a view that retaining Hill and holding him to his contract is a bad deal for us. We constantly here sing Brads praises. If he's like Tim Kelly he'll give his best this coming season and not sulk at Peel Thunder.
I want Bell to hold his ground on 2 first round picks + something (Acres?). It's up to SK to do the deal if they really want Brad otherwise we keep him. Over to you SK.

It's a business, he signed a contract and we need his talents. No one jumped on geelong last year for holding Kelly to his contract when wc wouldn't come to the party. (I bet wc wish they had just quietly).

StK are not trading in good faith, they think he's worth $900k but aren't happy to compensate the club that is losing him. Pick six alone was not enough.

They can get stuffed.

Anyone that thinks Hill will spit the dummy next year, if he stays at Freo, does not understand the game of footy.

I’m sure that Brad won’t spit the dummy next year but I’m glad that we are playing hard ball on a player with two years left on the contract.

Interesting listening to Kingy and Montagna on Foxfooty trade talk, both very pro Freo over their stance. Kingy reckons if you're offering a player $900,000 a season over 5 years as they are with Bradley then that's a marquee player and the cost is 2 first rounders, compared him to Kelly. Ou requests were not excessive and they reckon all the onus is now on Saints to get this deal done or they've let down Hill, Freo and their own fans. Kingy reckons we could even end up with something more than originally promised if it goes down to the wire.

Brad Hill agreed to a contract to play for this club. The club has no contractual obligation to the player get a deal done.

This is where it gets murky because some are of the opinion players should be able to dictate whom they play for and when they decide to leave. Whilst it is best for the player and both clubs to get a deal sorted that meets all parties expectations this is not always possible.

In terms of supporting morale I would rather a club that honours their deal and players honour their deal. This would make it easier for everyone involved and boost morale.

A lot of talk about Collingwood struggling to fit everyone into their salary cap. Is there anyone on their list that realistically appeals as a prospective target? I know the guy in number 16 goes real well but may be considered a bit old now.
Also is there any possibility reality where Harley Bennell makes a reappearance on our list, senior or rookie, if he has resolved his injury problems.? I'm sure I noticed him at the Doig count telecast last week so may be back in favour.

I reckon there are two problems. The first is that some people see a player discuss a request for a trade, for personal reasons, and then decide he's dictating terms. The other problem is that there have been reports that a woman is involved, which is tantamount to witchcraft.

Yeah Gumnut Kingy and Montagna really went into to bat for Belly, it’s was refreshing to hear. Basically applauded his stance.

As long as he realises that if whoever pick 6 is goes well, he will be reminded about it for...how long has it been since McLedo was a bit of a ***** to Neesham?
