This going to trade week with a view of shafting everyone and worrying about the optics of not getting one pulled over you is a very Harris/Rosich thing to do and I was kind of hoping we were past all that.

If St Kilda offered up six and a future second round pick for Hill and we knocked it back then that is a major stuff up by Fremantle.

In fairness to Belly, we were dealing with St Kilda.

How’s this a stuff up. He’s got 2 years to run on his contract. We’ve just lost one winger in Langdon. Kudos to Belly. He wants Hilly to stay, so do I.

They were never going to give us pick 6 as they got too many big deals to do. Utter crap.
I reckon when they committed to hill they did not envisage Zac Jones or the port Adelaide defender. That changed everything.
They might of gone cold.

Essendon are playing hard ball with Daniher for all the right reasons.....we are not the only footy club that wants to hang onto to their best players! Stare them down Belly!!

Langdon is pretty much gone we can't afford to lose Hill if we want to make finals next year Hill has to stay

Worst case scenario, Bradley stays another year giving Henry and Carter more time to develop as wingers similar to him, we make finals and then Brad leaves next year with ready made replacements Henry and Carter and more speedy midfielders in 2020 Academy picks plus Kobe Farmer. This could still work out O/K for us.

I'm really hanging out for the next permutation in this trade, but damn, the weekend is almost upon us.
They really should trade right thru the weekends now that footy season is over.

I think this is more about Saints list manager/deal maker Gubby Allen who is trying to dominate proceedings and get maximum from every deal. He is now playing the hardarse with Jack Steven going to Geelong, knowing that in his mental state he could walk away from the game if he doesn't get there.
