Yeah, the Deaf Cheats shafted us - let's shaft them back by keeping Bradley. Tough luck kid, take up stamp collecting.

I still think we'll be ahead with 12, next years first round and Blake Acres. I'd take 12, 18 and Acres which is potentially a bit less but OK.
So go to the draft with 7, 12, 18 (or SKs first round next year), 22 (Langdon), 26. We might not get all that we want by we'll get some very good players from that lot of selections.

I believe Robertson and Jackson would be top 20 picks, it is the Henry bid that could cause a problem.

Thats why Freo need to be careful on their draft position...

On 6pr, they are talking about a player who has been told to look at their options, anyone know this player they are talking about?

Wait, just give me 5 minutes and I’ll ring Hagdorn, just so you can rule that player out.

I think 12, 18 & next year's 2nd round is good enough. Just 12 & 18 by themselves is better than 6 alone. So it will be interesting to see where the next episode will take us.
If we end up with picks 7, 12, 18, 22 & 26 then I think we're sitting pretty for the upcoming draft.

I may be hopeless with maths but I know the difference between 1 and 6 is about the same difference as 6 and 12 as well as 12 and 18. That's two steps back in the wrong direction.

Not when it's two local boys you want that you wouldn't spend pick six on.

St Kilda offered pick 6 and a future pick to the Dockers for Hill but Bell rejected the proposal. So St Kilda swapped 6 for 12 and 18 with GWS. Having done that they are not likely now to give 12 and 18 to the Dockers. To save face Bell will have to refuse to deal with St Kilda over Hill. Seems to have shot himself in his foot.

Hope so Mont for our sake plus you know proof will be asked for here if it doesn't happen.

Demo 1 is still trying to live down locking in Kelly but he wasn't game enough to bet a valuable part of his anatomy on it.

From what they were saying on Fox footy trade show it's the Henry deal that find us out as he is likely to get called out in the top 10 as is Jackson, if Henry gets called before pick 7 we have to trump that selection with our pick 7 and then our next pick is 12 or 18 if we get either from Saints or our current pick 26. None of these will snare Jackson or quite probably most of the other local boys we had our eyes on. Our best chance if Henry gets called after pick 7 which we can use on Jackson, if he's still there, and then we can use our pick 12, 18 or 26 on Henry when he gets called out. Either way this is not what we planned and as I've thought before, there may be sacrificial lamb required to be traded in order to help net us a better draft pick situation. I don't want to name possibilities but some of our guys who could be called expendable just aren't worth the higher picks that we require to improve this situation except Ed Langdon who, if Melbourne call our bluff, could go them in the preseason draft. This could be even worse for us.

Cats have come out today and said they want to give 14 and 17 for a pick inside 10.

If Brad also ends up going for a good 1st rounder plus something else to a melbourne club is this worth considering.
Without doing the maths, I think 14 and 17 would be more points than 7, if yesterday 12 and 18 were worth more than 6.

Sure, we may miss a top 10 opportuninty, but no matter which way we slice and dice, we aint gonna get every WA player we target-nobody does. But it gives us a greater chance of getting 3 or 4 of which more likely a couple will be success stories. And ive heard opinions from so called experts that afer the the first 3 or 4 , anyone in the top 25 or 30 could be picked up anywhere from 5 to 25.(with exception of Greene who looks destined for 6).

If a bid comes for Liam Henry at pick 10. You will end up roughly with pick 17 and Henry. If you just keep 7 you end up with pick 7 and Henry.

This time last year people were piling in on Bell saying he’d blown trade week by being too stubborn/demanding. Four days later the same people were singing his praises. He’s just getting warmed up.
