They want to force Freo to settle for pick 12 because they need their first rounder next year and they need additional picks to pick up other trade targets.
They are assuming that Freo won't hold Hill in WA and will have to settle for unders.
It's a very cynical ploy by them, which fits in with the way they generally conduct themselves. Clearly they were not conducting negotiations in good faith as they arranged the trade with GWS less than an hour after negotiations with Freo. This was a planned move on their part.
Bell should tell them to shove it up their jackson and arrange for Hill to go to a Victorian club next year but no dealing with the deaf cheats
