Liam Henry is way better than Bobby Hill, a true playmaker who in time could go on to rival Sonny Walters. He's also got his head screwed on for an 18 year old as was mentioned on the club website as he's got his own business with at least one other producing and selling their own line of ties.

If we want to make a certainty of Jackson we could trump GWS by offering our pick 7 and next years first rounder to Melbourne for pick 3. Our first rounder next year is likely to be better than GWS'.

"St Kilda have traded Blake Acres, picks No.10 & 58 and a future second and fourth-round pick to Fremantle in exchange for the speedy wingman."

We get five players for Brad Hill. Crikey

St Kilda have traded Blake Acres, picks No.10 & 58 and a future second and fourth-round pick to Fremantle in exchange for the speedy wingman and a future third-round pick.

We also gave back a future 3rd round pick.

Bad trade Bell, should have kept Brad.

Ignore the fourth round pick, it’s a distraction and is about as valuable to us as a box of weetbix.
Disappointing to miss pick 6 but probably all we can expect. A lot of this will depend on how good Acres turns out to be. If he is a list clogger it will be a poor trade. He’s no BHill but if he plays 100 solid games we might of done ok.

I think its a par trade. I just don't know what you all expect for a footballer in his twenty seventh year. I think the Kelly trade has inflated your thinking. The Eagles are throwing it all at a player who can win them another flag. We've got Acres pick ten and a second rounder - fine.

When you lose your 2 best wingers out of the midfield the game plan changes considerably. It’s the quickest way to goal, through the corridor. Let’s hope we do find 2 quality mids to play the wingers role. Over to you big Hilly.

The quickest way to goal old boy is to get someone to stand in front of the goals and you kick it to them.

The determination of this trade being a winner or loser will be if a bid comes on our academy player prior to pick 10 and if GWS bid on jackson. Pick 6 could have likely got us jackson, use our pick 7 and then use other picks for academy pick meaning 3 top talents in this year.

the current deal likely see's us miss out on Jackson who GWS probably grab with pick 6 (pray that someone in front of them bids for him - cmon melbourne or sydney) and possible have to burn pick 10 to get our academy player if a bid comes before 10 meaning only 2 top 10 talents

Seems like Bell was playing checkers when everyone else was playing chess

In regards to Henry, I rate him a lot higher than Bobby Hill who has speed to burn but not the same all round game Henry boasts.

Pick 58, a future 4th rd pick and Acres are all filler that doesn't mean a lot. I hope that Acres can live up to the expectations placed on him when he was first drafted but having watched him closely since then, I don't see it happening. Fingers crossed it does.

Next years first rd pick from the Saints would have made this a win for Freo but only their second rd pick drops it to a level trade at best. We needed that first round pick.

In relation to this year, a pick for GWS academy kid Green will come before their current first pick which will rule them out of Luke Jackson. If they find a way to get ahead of it though, we're in trouble. The ideal scenario for us has Green receiving a bid at pick 3/4 as expected, Jackson slipping to 7 for us, no bid on Henry before 10 so we can get someone like Robertson and then the Henry bid coming late enough that we don't have to use more than pick 22 on it as we don't have anything else except 58 to help (which is likely going to the pies at this point).
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.
