I was really hoping coming in to the trade period we would be set up to draft Henry, Jackson and either Robertson or Sharp but now think we may only get one of these depending on when other clubs call them out in the top 10. We really have to be committed to taking Liam Henry.\ and if he's called before our pick 7 we'll have to use it which would lose Jackson but I now have a feeling he will go before pick 7 as well.

Do we really need Luke Jackson with Darcy and Lobb.. I wouldn't mind us just going for Deven Robertson with pick 7. I was a bit cold on him because I have heard he isn't that good a kick but he is pretty elite at everything else. He is of great character too.

How’s this for a trade, we offer Hill to the cats for pick 14, 24 and WC future 1st rounder, we get 2 more shots at WA talent this year plus extra incentive to win both derby’s next year, Geelong get a ready made replacement for Kelly, plus they should have the salary cap space with the money they had put aside for Kelly.
Hill gets to Melbourne, cats stay in the “premiership window’ we get to load up on WA talent to set us up for the next 5 years. Plus another pick for next years academy/father son bids.
Saints get diddly squat.

like it but we could also offer Brad to North for pick 8 plus extra picks, they have missed out on every A grader they have tried for over the past few yrs so salary cap room must be ok (brad wants to go to a Melb club so given what has happened we will agree but we will pick who)
Stuff the Saints and hope they remain bottom 6 side , lets work out a viable alternative ie best deal for us

From fox 'The Saints must complete trades for a number of players who have requested moves to Moorabbin including Fremantle’s Brad Hill, Port Adelaide’s Paddy Ryder and Sydney’s Zak Jones.
St Kilda is hoping to get Hill across in a deal reliant on Pick 12, Ryder for a late pick and Jones for a late second round selection, though the Swans want a pick in the mid 20s.
St Kilda holds picks 12, 18, 76 and 82 but could obtain 32 from the Western Bulldogs in exchange for wantaway forward Josh Bruce'.

The first thing that would help Freo out massively would be an announcement that GC have extended kings contract by a few more years, then saints will consider parting ways with their first round pick for next year. On that note though I think it is dead set disrespectful by the media to already be writing about Vic clubs lining up to poach him from Gold Coast already..

It sounds like there is interest from Essendon, Geelong and GWS in Jackson, so if we want him as well we might need to move up the order.

Either way Saints have promised the world to 5 players, it is up to them to get it all done. Fail and the egg is on their face
