Very happy with the decision, he is a quality bloke, is young and smart, has had a good apprenticeship and loves Freo.

Just watched his press conference. Bloody hell! Impressive young bloke. Clearly as nervous as hell but he has a clear focus on the job ahead of him and, I think, will be an excellent communicator to his playing group.

Really impressed with this choice.

I loved that press conference.

Obvious nerves aside, he was impressive. He said everything I wanted to hear and his passion shone through. Even his joke with SonSon and Hilly showed a fun, caring man. I'm excited about our future for the first time in a long time.

I got two things out of that press conference:

i. considered process
ii. best we can be

On a more personal note, when JLo went to the slime, I decided he was dead to me but hey JLo, you're alive to me again!

He was very careful not to openly take potshots at Roly but his coaching philosophy and his ideas on skills development and game plan development were exactly what many here on DL have been wanting for some years.

I feel pretty good about this appointment. We may or may not win a flag under JLo but you can bet your bottom dollar that we will be a much better club
