If it's just about a done deal that Bradley is heading to St Kilda I would suggest that our trade team work to lock in pick 5 as part of this deal ASAP as the Saints are heavily into the the trade market this season pursuing Paddy Ryder and, more importantly, Sam Gray. Now I wouldn't think Paddy is going to necessitate a high pick in return but Sam Gray is a gun forward and they would need to part with something better than their pick 55 which is the next after the pick 5 that we covet. A lot of clubs are trying to split their high draft picks to give them 2 lower first rounders to facilitate trades and I woul be a bit concerned if the Saints tried this strategy which may make their offer for Hill something less than the pick 5. We need to tread cautiously and not count our chickens too soon until this deal is done.

JLo, Belly and the team have a real issue to deal with Ross’s rebuild. We have two megastars at 28, we have a good but suspect core at 24-26 and a very questionable group of 20’s or less.

With nobody having interest in moving to us, I think we will be biting the bullet and going to the draft. It leaves Fyfe and Walters in limbo, can they last and stay relevant for 3-5 years for the youth to come through.

It's all doom and gloom for a lot of people but I firmly believe our core list is as good as, if not better than many teams. With a healthy lineup we beat most of the teams who played finals this year so with some good pick ups in the draft and JLo at the helm I'm feeling quite confident of a good showing next season.

FreoTiger, don't worry about age profiles of the list, that's the bulldust underperforming clubs put forward. If they trade then make it a good trade if they draft then make it a good draft and we'll be challenging again next year.

At the moment the club just makes too many bad calls.

Reckon this deal and others will struggle to get done. The draft after the first two is very even across the next 15 so the idea of trading pick 7 for two picks inside the top 20 has limited appeal.

As I mentioned earlier, I think the Saints are going to try and wriggle out of coughing up their first round pick, now pick 6, for Bradley which may hold up multiple trades thoughout Trade Week. Well done Belly, stand firm on this one.

I’m sick of the vic media pushing players value down when they want to go back to vic and pushing the value up when they want to go back to WA. Belly has every right to demand huge for Hill.

The Saints will have to sell the farm, like the Eagles did for Kelly. In fact, Both Hill and Kelly, are of similar ages, except one is a triple premiership player, a doig medalist and in 2019, had arguably his best year. Compare that to Kelly, who’s done little in comparison, got the Slime to cough up. Furthermore, Hill’s contracted for a further 2 to Freo. So I say, Hill’s value is significantly more than Kelly. Either way, I think Freo are in the box seat to holding onto Hill if the Saints blink.
