Not sure of their sources but both Tom Russell and Caroline Wilson on rival networks commented that Sumich had interviewed and not gone well. Apparently Russell reckoned he had a bit too much to say on how he reckoned the place should be run. JLo and Solomon apparently interviewed real well.
Micky Barlow on the FootyWA show was glowing in his praises of Solomon from his time at Gold Coast. Apparently had a lot to do with development of Stephen May into top defender and Harley Bennell. in his Suns days.

The article by Morris on Foxfooty website today and his spiel just shown on TV reckons a lot of problems revolved around Suma's ideas about the CEO role at the club. Apparently wanted to know who was in running for job and other issues. If these issues are true what really concerns me is how they've got into the public domain. I haven't got a problem with the panel's agenda but should this info be leaked. I thought the interview process was confidential.

It’s not unusual for an applicant to tell people what their interview approach will be and was, so it’s also possible Sumich has provided information that’s reached the media. On the other hand it could be complete BS what’s being reported.

When the dust settles, both CEO and the coach will be under the pump, so nothing new there.

Tom Morris is trying for a Hackdorn. It is all cut and paste, no way any of this would be released by anyone involved in the process. I would not be surprised if someone at the eagles has set this up to take media pressure off them. I wonder who Morris has been playing around (of golf) with.

From the article, "Sumich began well but made his position clear on the role of the club’s next CEO, which was not shared by the panel." and "It’s understood Sumich’s main concern – which was communicated to the panel – revolved around the CEO role. He politely asked to see a shortlist of candidates in the hope he would be on the same wavelength as the man or woman who eventually wins the role."

Good thing the panel didn't share this, otherwise we'd all know by now.

Personally, I highly doubt that any leaks come from FFC or the panel.
(sarcastically, unless of course, it was the note-taker, who also knew about McPharlin being a close confidant of Ross Lyon which concerned Sumich, and which was also mentioned in the article.)

And that's the problem, Noddy. Much as the old West was rubbished at times it generally was a news outlet that people could trust to be checking its facts and presenting an unbiased view. Anything written as "opinion" was labelled as such.
Sad to say the ABC is the only outlet left that even attempts to take a neutral stance and avoid fake news.
