Is it just me or West Coast is looking old, their first 22 will have an average age of 30, if they fail next year.....they could fall off the perch very quickly. Richmond seems to be a younger team.


Kelly @ 26 yrs old......you are giving away your future, picks 14, future 1st round pick or pick 24.


Hope Freo ain't that stupid...….Longmuir at least was at Collingwood where they grew a bunch of kids together. Follow the same method.

That's my feeling. They have some great players but their bottom 5/6 players of starting 22 were very ordinary including Maste and Schofield and it was these players deficiencies that were exploited in the finals. Ialso went to the Weagles reserves team game against Claremont in the WAFL finals and their second tier players looked ordinary outclassed by some Tigers oldies and some potential AFL draft picks.

All I can say is let Belly do his thing.
Trade period hast even started yet and wont finish until a little over 14 days away..
Kelly has not written Freo off and the cats would prefer to deal with us.

Personally, I hope we dont get him, I would much rather take the picks to the draft unless we steal him late.
There is still some commentray around WA and not specificially West Coast.
If we can drive up West Coasts offering thats a win for us too.

The bloke loves the OOFTIT's and absolutely despises us. What's not to understand here? He's always made that pretty clear and chasing someone with no desire to be here whatsoever always looked foolish from that perspective. The only way to make it work was to sell everything and beg him to play which puts us in a horrible position as a football club.

This is a blessing and you should all be thankful he's already ruled us out. We'll be much better off with the kids we pick up from those draft picks.

It’s embarrassing. Kelly clearly doesn’t want to play for us, and it makes Fremantle look second rate the way Bell keeps fawning over him.
We have done enough trading in recent years. Go to the draft for a few years and build a long term future.

When Adam Treloar left GWS, he went to Collingwood on the basis that the Pies' list was better. Two Tigers premierships later and he's looking like Nathan Buckley when he went to Collingwood instead of Brisbane Lions.

I hope we can make Tim Kelly feel the same thing.

How about we just let the cobblers do the cobbling. Belly is no fool. He’s got no intentions of getting Kelly for a high price. If Hilly goes, and that’s still no certainty, we’ll get pick 6 from the Saints. Picks 6 & 7, I like that better than Kelly. Plus we’ve got Conca and Tucker, whose praise were sung by our dual Chas winner.

I'm torn on the Tim Kelly situation, I would love to see him at Freo, but he is mid 20s, a great footballer, but we also have the chance to pick some gem WA players if we get the right picks.

I would rather offer west coast our pick 7 (based on receiving pick 6 for Hill) in return for West Coasts pick 14 and 24 (at worst settle for 33). That would give us 4 picks inside the top 30 in the draft whilst just about locking them out of the top 30 in the draft.
