Wood is average, he's basically Shane Kersten mk II. When we have Lobb, Hogan, Taberner, Cox and McCarthy, he would be a complete waste of a trade and salary.

Get a kid in the draft who looks promising and let him sit on the list for a couple of years and develop rather than waste anything on a 26yo 192cm tall who can't even hold a place in the Roos line up. It's a ridiculous suggestion.

For comparisons sake, Cox (194cm) kicked 18 goals as a part time forward last season in a RL coached team at the age of 19. Wood kicked 22 as a full time forward and that is the most he's kicked in a season (sitting on 20 this year with 1 game to go). There is no good argument to getting Wood, even if he were free.

What we need to do is pick the best available footballers, don't worry about what position they play. We have enough good players to fill 2 teams, with a new broom in the tactics & strategy box. The only position we need to worry about is a ruckman. ( Oh, and a forward pocket if Matera leaves.)
