Rog, Lyon would have got us to finals? Maybe - if he didn't break all the KPPs on the way as he regularly does, but his game plan doesn't stand up to it, they'd be making up numbers.

Well maybe a lot more players are leaving than I know about, but we have a very good list. If we have a reasonable run with injuries, then we will make the 8. We nearly made the 8 with a horror injury year. Many of our players will still be at their peak next year (Fyfe, Walters, Hamling, Wilson, Hogan, Tabs, Lobb ...). Others will be better next year (Tucker, Brayshaw, Cerra, Crowden, Pearce, Logue, Ryan, Blakely...).
I don't see us going backwards.

The list is crap. There’s 14 or 15 good players and then nothing. A couple of injuries wiped our season out. Decent lists cover this. The midfield is poor, the ruck position is an ongoing problem, and there is almost no flair or excitement in the squad bar 2 or 3 players. Skill level is abysmal and have been a hallmark of Fremantle teams from well before Ross Lyon. The club overachieved this year and next year could be worse. I feel sorry for whoever gets the job because he will get half a season of goodwill from the fans before they turn on him.
The first people sacked should be the recruiting staff.
