This whole rebuild thing, the notion that you dip down and then shoot back up again is not supported by reality.

The crap clubs are continuously staying at the bottom and the strong clubs are staying at the top.

There is no cycle. If there is your club is not being managed being run properly.

There is a cycle. It's just not this 6 year cycle that a lot of clubs are trying to claim. Most of the clubs have a couple of seasons where they go off the boil, some clubs turn that into much longer.

If you look at Fremantle and West Coast from 2001, they've both followed roughly the same pattern of rises and falls. We were in contention in 2006, 2010 and 2013 (and 2003 we were 5th but without any experience in such things). They were in contention 2005/06/07 and 2011/12. In 2015 they were the top 2 teams.

West Coast dipped in 2016 -2017 where as we crashed and didn't recovered. They didn't not fall, they just got up again when they did. Four years in and we're still thinking getting up.

We have none.

We must be on the busted cycle, or never-ending cycle to nowhere.

We have no internal successor , he has made sure there is not internal threat. if we got rid of him and I think it will be at the end of the season, then we have to recruit from outside. In any case we need new blood.

New CEO
New Footy Director
New Coach
New assistants
Tendai can keep his job.

if the board act before the end of the season I have no idea who would be his successor, I guess we could bring in Sumich as an interim if he wanted it, otherwise we might have to steal a coach from a WAFL club to get us through.

it is an abject failure of the board,CEO Football Director that there is no succession plan and no one who can step in. But it shows where the power has been since 2012 and how self serving some people are.
