I know it was five months ago, but I think he has struggled with it all year. This isn’t the first time I have questioned this decision.

I completely disagree with the title of this thread. It should be Injury mismanagement.

Been in hospital since Tuesday, well they kept that a secret. I'm surprised Hackdorn didn't know....not.

So are you claiming that they cheaped out on the operation or did it shoddily because of the AFLX? That if he'd had an operation in January instead of February it wouldn't have become infected in July?

No I am claiming that his injury would have had a better chance of being fully ready for an AFL season if done two weeks earlier.

I'm not a doctor but I don't think that's how infections work.

Me neither, I have however watched him favour that arm in a number of occasions throughout the season.
I don’t know but would it not be more likely for an infection to take hold at the site of an injury.
Or are you suggesting that the infection has been there from the original fully healed injury and not diagnosed.
I don’t understand how an infection could all of a sudden appear in an elbow without something to cause the infection.

More likely he picked up some infectious germs from Tassie game against Hawthorn. They probably graze cows there during the week so it's not surprising what germs he might have picked up on the day.

Your anti-cow sentiments aren’t welcome here Gumnut. You and your vegan mates need to stop spreading these lies about cows being dirty bacteria-riddled beasts.
