Fair go Corp, Kelly will be an excellent ‘man up’ backpocket player, and is likely to have great ability to fist the ball away. Geelong haven’t uncovered that talent yet, but I’m sure it’ll be an attraction to him that RoLy will...

Having Taylor and Henry in our forward line would bring some excitement to the forward line.
Tim Kelly for Brad Hill is a straight swap in my view. Geelong would rather have Brad Hill than an early pick or two. Plus Brad Hill is contracted and Tim Kelly is out of contract.

Good trade Detox, Hill goes to Geelong and wins 3 flags, playing the attacking footy he was renowned for at the Hawks, Kelly comes to Freo and runs out of petrol about R15 each season, among the many foot injuries he suffers from running miles on the road.

Biz please - comparing Taylor to Fyfe....
This reminds me of draft eve when every second player is described as Pendlebury/Selwood/Riewoldt/Brown/Hayes/Fyfe like...
Theres only one player like Nat Fyfe and thats Nat Fyfe.

I love the way some of you even think Kelly would consider coming to Freo. He didn't want us before why now?

I didn't exactly compare him to Fyfe, it was more of a 'what if' to illustrate a point. I compared Taylor to Koops. I also said I'd hoped to be grabbing him in the pick 40 range so I was pretty clearly not comparing him to Fyfe.

Talk of Kelly coming here is dumb and ridiculous. We'd have to sell our soul to get him, he's definitely not worth whatever we'd be asked to pay and won't help us rebuild. Never mind he hates us and wouldn't perform.

We've been picking up mature age players for the past few years instead of properly rebuilding and look where we are. Go to the draft for once and get some quality youth into the squad. This year is a perfect year to do so with WA winning the title and a lot of those players being underrated and in the 15-40 range. If we lose players, make sure we stock up on picks around there to bring in these kids like we did in 2008 and create a dynasty. I want to see them all drafted together at Freo and those that aren't, requesting to get here.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

We've got some quality youth Biz. At least, when they were drafted.
We turn them into mush

We have some but not much. Brayshaw, Cerra, Cox and Darcy have talent that's not being utilised but it drops off markedly from there. That's just 4 kids on the list who have looked like they've got a bit of use although we're yet to see Sturt give things a proper go.

We've consistently given up picks for players and then needed to use our late draft picks on kids like Crowden, Giro, North and mature agers who look like bit part players at best. You need to replenish the list with potential star kids, not a plethora of bits and pieces players.

Then there's the whole second part of the process which is employing a coaching staff with the capacity to develop those players and grow them into the elite of the competition. RL has been incredibly lucky that's he's taken over from coaches who have done the hard yards for him. I've seen nothing to indicate he can do that in the past 4 years (or the rest of his career really).

I recall being very alone last year when saying we should not turn our back on this draft armed with our early two picks: Bailey Smith and Butters were two I mentioned.

We were all gaga on Hogan and Lobb and everyone started developing an affinity with all the late round picks we were getting.

Having said that Bizkit my understanding is Sam Sturt and Valente are also quite talented and Darcy will be a player. Logue will be a player too.

We need four more midfielders, we are going to lose one at least at the end of the year and Mundy will retire. And we need a quality small forward. We just can't keep ignoring this fact.

We could trade Houdini and he'd be on the bench under this management! It wont matter who you trade if the life blood is going to be drained from the poor beggar.

Whoever/ whatever we get, make sure they can kick under pressure.

If we are going to have to put up with the same 'idiotic, non fuctioning forward line gamestyle" , just make sure they have exquisite kicking skills.

He cant keep putti g all our kicking talent in the backline...6 positions fill up pretty quickly and eventually we'll start having decent kicking skills forward of centre....

The club should be looking for several players forward centre and back and forget one player who is playing in the top team..Dangerfield, Ablett and co.
Kelly will play the same game as Brad Hill who came from top side and has only shown something standout in his third year, maybe because he's saying what he's worth to a future club.
Kelly played with South Fremantle 2017 (16 wins) and if he played for Perth that year 2017 (3 wins) I don't think he would he be picked up.

Biz, comparison with Fyfe matches up on draft position, almost everyone had Fyfe at 40's or lower, some fool took him at 18 and was widely derided for his lack of judgement.
