Baby, bath water, whatever. 26 years.

I’m not angry. Certainly annoyed and as far away from happy as it is possible to be, but supporting Freo with life and soul is now a mental health issue.

I can’t invest in this any more. I just have no more to give.

Unfortunately nothing will get done unless Dockers supporters start to take action through not attending the games, which will have a domino effect by attendances starting to fall and it has a fiscal impact to the club. Only then will they start to take note and maybe undertake some action. Until then, business as usual.

The new stadium size has meant seats are always available on game day so a membership doesn’t make as much sense as it once did, especially if you can’t make the odd game. To be perfectly honest it has only been the potential grand final upgrade loss that has kept our group of 9 together as members over the years. However even this isn’t the lure it once was. Something like 70% of west coast members who applied for tickets to the grand final last year in the lottery got tickets. It may have been higher.

A membership should be a contract between a fan and a club. In return for the supporter giving the club money regularly and keeping it afloat, the club agrees to perform to the best of its ability and be as professional as possible in striving for success. The Fremantle football club is completely tone deaf to this obligation and exists, as far as I can tell, as a charity.

Goodie a lot of people taking this hard. Rosich has tended to talk up # of memberships a lot, ergo that is his main KPI from the board, not onfield performance. Relinquishing one, is to stop defining your life by the teams fortunes and is a mental anchor off your shoulders. Also, the board have been distant and neglectful, why make it your problem?
Buy a one off ticket on the day. You still support your team, but take back control.
Stay with it Dockerlanders but on whatever terms make it healthy for you.

Buy a membership but not a seat ($80/Yr).
Takes the pressure off trying to turn up every second week.
Club will notice drop off of members and maybe do something about the way the club is run - starting at the top.

I feel you place kick, as I have said on another post, mass cancelling of memberships is the only way to get attention. Following their systems of payment is affirmation they are doing a good job. Go old schhool pretend you are going to the footy in the eighties. Buy your ticket at the gate and support the players not the betrayers. Watch the melt down as their BS KPI structure falls apart.

I know what people mean when they say they're done.

I used to get angry and frustrated at the continual and repeated flaws we exhibited and our continual and repeated failure to change or to learn from those failures.

Last night I watched that debacle and I actually expected that loss to happen. I'm no Notradamus because the way we lost that game last night was exactly the same way we lose all the derbies. All we ever try is create congested ball, fail to have players on the outside and then watch the other team waltz the ball away from the stoppage....again.

Rather than get angry last night I watched the 'game' with a feeling of resignation and I'm resigned to losing more games in exactly the same way. If they ever change the rules and rename AFL 'Kick it to McGovern' (or Hurn, Barrass) we will be unbeatable.

Even the weasels couldn't find their forwards in space as regular as we find their backs in space.

It's easy to see where we are going wrong, it's just really hard to see why we don't address those issues.

Well we now have the draft to look forward to and see which kid's career we are going to ruin next.

To think, we are expected to pay top dollar for this garbage. They should be sued for false pretences

Having been at the game and now watched the first half on tv and looked at the whole thing having cooled down:

We were very poor.
We are lacking a decent ruck. 211 tried hard but was outclassed. Needed to be more influential around the ground....taking marks to influence ball movement.
We did have Pearce, Taberner, Hogan and Cox out. That’s the equivalent of them having McGovern, Kennedy, Darling and Allen out and it was only Kennedy.
They got cheap goals in the second quarter from unusual umpire decisions .
I think it was a mistake moving Logue from the backline to the forward line.
Blakely should have been in the guts.
Mundy should have been playing forward.
Cerra isn’t suited to the backline, at the moment anyway.
Unexpected losses have occurred to all teams this year.
Our recruiting and development of some players over the years has been deplorable..
Blowout losses are not acceptable.

We do need new thinking in the coaching department and I hope the next coach is very good, the members and supporters deserve better. But there are no guarantees.
