Lyon doesn't seem to understand his shtick only comes off when you are winning.

Ok, I've had time to recover. Some points:

i) The umpiring was rubbish. Cam McCarthy gets slung without the ball in front of goals - play on. We catch Jarod Cameron in front of goals, should be holding the ball, but he gets a miraculous free kick.

ii) Notacluey loves the rule that lets the ruckman take the ball out of the ruck. And the only time we lay a solid tackle on him when he does it, somehow turns into a free kick to him. But we lost the game because of the centre clearances in the 2nd quarter. And NN did that. Ross had no answer, and we needed one.

iii) Shots on goal. If you read the worst today, every shot on goal has a probability of being a goal, being a point, going out on the full etc etc. That probability is based on past shots, and is determined by where a players is, the pressure on him etc etc. And apparently if all the shots on goal in the game had followed these probabilities, we would have lost by 3 goals. And this fits with the rest of the game stats which showed us being not quite as strong as them.

iv) While I'd be happy for Lyon to go, I'd be very unhappy if he went and Rosich stayed. The problems start at the top. Indeed as someone said, get Freo out from under the WAFC.

v) Nyhuis and Duman should have played in defence. Cera and Blakely help out midfield. Logue and Colyer back at Peel. I have no idea why Ross doesn't like Nyhuis, but I reckon Ross is just plain wrong.

I am not sure too many departments at the club would stand up to a thorough outside review. Recruiting in particular needs to be looked at closely because it doesn’t stand up too well to close inspection. Just off the top of my head Fremantle has recruited these players as mature age recruits in the last 2-3 seasons- Bewley, Banfield, Schulz, Watson, Jones and Swikowski. It’s probably a bit early but i am not sold on any of them. It’s a big call drafting that many ready made players and not finding a diamond amongst them because it sets your rebuild back. Of the traded in players, Colyer has been disappointing and Conca has been average.

There has also been a number of successes but in general I think the list has 10 plus players, possibly 15, that won’t make it at afl level.

If we can't sack Ross, can we at least sack our forward coach (sic) and bring in someone who is going to replace Ross in 2021.
Let Ross know that this is the Club's strategy for the future, i.e. no extension.

Hopefully Ross gives the club an untimatum and we can accept his resignation.

Sorry, ultimatum - though an untimatum sounds very Ross-like.

Nope, it should be kept simple - 'You just lost a home Derby by 91 points, get outta here.'

Goodie, recruiting is the least of our problems, any half decent coach would have that list winning more often than not after about a week with them. Yeti, (this aint aimed at you, I know what you think of the clowns mantra) failure is failure, not lack of success, not feedback, not bad luck or missing KPI's, It is bloody failure pure and simple, and no amout of pr bullshit can change that fact.

Raglan you are 100% correct Bailey is not played to his strengths when he plays in the firsts, he is a strong bullocking player who likes a scrap and a hard contest
Best suited as a run with player or inside mid getting the ball out to the runners
With Mundy now running out of gas play BB in the middle and let him use his aggression and hard tackling to give Nat a chop out
Also you would have thought Nhyhuis would have been handy to put on to Cameron when he started to run hot
Luke Ryan or Hughes arent exactly close checking defenders

Quite a bit of it rings true and the author obviously hasn’t been the only one to predict what is unfolding now a year later.

The question is do we want another season to go by as our experienced players get another year older and worn down? In fact it is not a question.......the fact is it would be a travesty to let careers of very talented people go to complete waste. We still have a chance to try and salvage something from this wreckage before we have to start all over again.

I wouldn't be waiting for the club to respond any time soon.

Peter Bell has just popped up on 6PR and announced Roly is coaching well.

Thats such a relief. Imagine how bad the results would have been lately if he's been coaching poorly. We might have lost at home to Carlton and performed poorly in the derby.

Thank god Roly is coaching well.

Theres a link for those with strong stomachs and a profound sense of the absurd
