I don't want to get in the middle of things but when your brother leaves a very successful football club to come back home so he an play with you, you're sending him a message if you then move to the Gold Coast.

Might be some tense family Christmases down the track if he ever left Freo.

Hodge, Mitchell, Hill and others left after three GFs and Brad chose to come home and one of the reasons was to play with his brother.

What a wonderful person Stephen appears to be and one of those players you go to watch.

I’d be very sad to see him go but he’s been a very loyal player and if he thinks $2m in the latter part of his career would help him and his family good luck to him.

I see him as a one club and very family orientated person and would be surprised to see him leave.

Yeah, those Gold Coast fools obviously haven't learnt from their past salary cap problems. Quit bailing them out with cash/special considerations every year and they might have to stand on the own two feet like everyone else - down in Tassie.

I don’t think he will go and if his quad is ok we should be ok to match. Depending on our targets for next year ie English/Coniglio/Kelly, 2million over 3 years might tighten us up. I am sure we could find a coaching admin role once his playing days are done.
I totally get this move by Gold Coast would have plenty of salary cap and have to give nothing up. Free swing really.
